Improved Rams looking for
more than a winning season

The Rams have a returning sharpshooter in 6-3 senior Drew White.

Much of the offensive focus will be on Drew White. White was a catalyst for Paoli last season after transferring from Floyd Central, scoring more than 19 points per contest after his arrival. This summer, White has played in numerous camps and the Rams even participated in summer leagues against other schools. White even reportedly scored 52 points in a tournament in New Albany against a Louisville, KY, school.

“It’s obvious Drew can score, but the key is going to be when everybody starts cramming down on him,” Hinton explained. “We have to have other kids step up and score for us.

Paoli will also contend in a newly re-formed sectional that includes more teams that the Rams play against during regular-season action. This year’s sectional will be held at Brownstown Central High School and includes the host Braves, Austin, Clarksville, Providence, West Washington, Eastern Pekin and the Rams. Paoli plays four teams within the sectional field during the season, whereas in year’s past only Mitchell was seen.
